UPSC success of Rakhi and Kritika an inspiration for girls: DC Gupreet Singh Aulakh


Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, March 13 ( Harpal Ladda ): Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Gulpreet Singh Aulakh on Friday felicitated two young girls from the district who brought laurels by excelling in the recently declared Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination results.
Rakhi, a resident of Balachaur town, secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 65 in the prestigious examination, while Kritika Chaudhary, also hailing from Balachaur and belonging to village Karimpur Dhiani, secured AIR 315. Both the successful candidates called on the Deputy Commissioner at the District Administrative Complex on a special invitation from the district administration and were accompanied by their family members.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner honoured both the achievers and congratulated them for clearing one of the toughest competitive examinations in the country. Kritika Chaudhary, daughter of Inspector Rajiv Kumar, completed her Bachelor’s degree from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi, where she was a gold medallist, and later pursued an M.Sc. in Psychology from Delhi University, also earning a gold medal. While, Rakhi is a pass out from IIT Rurki and completed her post graduation from Punjab University.
Praising their achievement, Gulpreet Singh Aulakh termed their success a shining example of women empowerment and a source of inspiration for young girls across the district. He said that dedication, hard work and determination always lead to success.

The Deputy Commissioner also congratulated the families of both candidates and highlighted the important role of parents in guiding children towards achieving their goals. He mentioned that when unbound energy of youngsters is directed towards positive direction, yields rare success.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Balbir Raj Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Avneet Kaur were also present on the occasion.
